OFF ROAD 4x4 BARBAN – club of drivers and fans of the “off road”.

Unofficially founded in the 1999, when the 
1st OFF ROAD 4X4 BARBAN was organized. Officially founded and registered in the year 2000.
The main goal of the club:  to home the “off road” in the country of Barban and gather the fans of this exciting sport; also to organize reunions and competitions at least once a year.

The “off road” meeting in Barban consists of:

 1.   Night driving competition through the Barban country – the start is on the Bundanovac track. The drivers must follow the instructions from the “road – book”. The first part of the track goes trough a wooded, muddy and slightly rising land and continues with a sheer descent (rocks, gravel, mud, dense underbush) towards the valley of the river Raša. After a short plain part of the track, the drivers start a stiff ascent to reach again the Barban plateau.

 2.   Race on the Budanovac “off road” track – the area of a former puddle laying by the road Barban – Žminj, 5 km from Barban, near the village of Petehi, has become, after same adjustments, a first class “off road” track (according to the opinion of the last year participants).

The drivers enjoy in a variety of obstacles:

-        frequent changes of left and right slopes

-        drive through water and mud

-        drive across wooden bridges

-        drive through longitudinal channels indented by transversal furrows

-        drive through stiff up hill slopes, ending suddenly and enabling high jumps

-        drive through steep descents, ending in water or mud

-        drive through various obstacles made by logs

-        drive through a seesaw etc.

     To put it shortly, this is a track that conquers the “off road” drivers at once, as adrenaline increasing is guaranteed. The driver who tries this circuit once, will have to come again. Besides, the spectators have a perfect view of the whole track owing to the natural stands. It is a true enjoyment for drivers and fans !
